A warm welcome, a place of quality and relaxation are the hallmarks of your stay at Heatherfield House. The house is tucked peacefully into the hillside above Oban, yet is a short walk from the town centre and it’s many restaurants.

The house was built in 1849 when The Marquess or Breadalbane opened up this part of Oban for development. John S. McCaig, he of McCaig’s Folly fame, gained a financial interest in the house in its early days by means of a load to the first owner.

As it past through its interesting history the house has been known as Marquis Villa, ‘St. John’s School and Girls Training Home, Heatherfield House Hotel and of course, as it is today, Heatherfield House. You can learn more of the history of this interesting house when you come to stay with us.

Today, Heatherfield remains a grand house offering a taste of luxury to those who require something a little bit more. With private parking in the grounds of the house, complimentary WiFi and easy access to road, rail and ferries, Heatherfield is a perfect location.
