Below you’ll find some additional information about your stay with us.

Check In and Check Out

Check in is between 16.00 and 19.00 however if your travel plans don’t accommodate our usual check in times, just let us know and we’ll be happy to arrange an alternative. You’re welcome to drop bags outwith this time, however we ask that you phone ahead on the the day of arrival to check that we are in as we often use the time between changeover and check in to run errands.

Check out is at 10am.

The little things

If you’ve noticed you’ve forgotten any toiletries, we have a little stash of spares, so let us know and we’ll sort you out. We also have an iron and ironing board available should you need it.

If there is anything else you require during your stay with us, let us know and we’ll do our best to help you out

Security

For security reasons the glass door is kept locked at all times. Please use the keys supplied on your room keys to come and go at your leisure but please ensure that the doors are closed and locked behind you.

Heating

The house is centrally heated and there are thermostats on each radiator therefore you can alter your room temperature for your own comfort. However, if you have any problems please just ask for assistance. If you do feel chilly we will gladly supply an additional room heater, just let us know.

Housekeeping

For those guests who are staying for more than one night, we are more than happy to change towels and give your room a refresh, however we only do this on request. So if you do need any fresh towels, extra tea & coffee, just let us know in the morning and we’ll pop in whilst you're out on your adventures.

Parking

We would be grateful if everyone could ensure they park considerately in an effort to ensure that all guests get a space. Sadly we cannot accommodate you if you wish to leave your car here whilst you visit the islands for multiple nights or attend a cruise as we require the spaces for guests staying.

Garden

Please feel free to sit outside and enjoy the garden but if you go down to the lower garden. Take care on the steps and the paving stones as they can be slippery.

Our availability

Heatherfield House is also our home therefore from time to time we will be out and about. We don’t have staff available for full time reception duties therefore if you need us please contact 07759122568 and someone will respond as soon as possible.

In addition there is a bell sited at the front door. When we are here we will respond, we do ask that after 8pm it’s used for emergencies only.
